A Private communication with God.

Matthew 6:6
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray
to your Father, who is unseen.  Then your Father who sees what 
is done in secret will reward you.

There is nothing I like more and that is to talk to God in private.
Whether its in the quietness of my own home or somewhere else.

            God will never abandon those who seek Him.

Forgiveness for our sins brings real joy.

Forgiveness brings true joy.  It is only when we go before God and ask forgiveness for our sins, that he will give real happiness and relief from guilt.


Psalm32:5
Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity.  I said, ' I will confess my transgressions to the Lord and you forgave the guilt of my sin.

                             We are Blessed.

Blessed is he whose sins are covered.  Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.

God Knows.

God may seem to be hidden at times of injustice, but we can be assured that he is aware of every injustice.

A Prayer when surrounded by trouble and wickedness.

Psalm 28:1-3
To You I call, O Lord my Rock; do not turn a deaf ear to me.  For if you remain silent, I shall be like those who have gone down to the pit.  Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands, towards Your most Holy Place.  Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak cordially with their neighbours but harbour malice in their hearts. 
                          
                                    God hears our cries for help.

Psalm 28:6-9
Praise be to the Lord, for He has heard my cry for mercy.  The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusts in him and I am helped.  My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.  The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.  Save your people and bless your inheritance be their shepherd and carry them for ever.

A Prayer for defence, guidance and hope.

Psalm 25:1-2
To you O Lord, I lift my soul, in You I trust O my God.  Do not let my enemies triumph over me.

Psalm 25:4-5
Show me Your ways, O Lord teach me Your paths; guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Saviour and my hope is in You all day long.

Just as David needed God's pardon for sin, defence and guidance,so do we.  We need to let God show us the way and to lead us along the right path, to also trust and have hope in Him
in everything we do.
